There is nothing like a romantic elopement ceremony. As photographers that focus on a photojournalism style, we were in our element being in the background, experiencing what the bride and groom are anticipating.
Planning the Elopement
A few months back Chance and Hannah got in touch with us about their elopement plans, and we knew immediately this was the right fit for us! They let us know that they loved Durango, CO and that they couldn’t think of a better place to run away and get married! Before the big day, we, as the photographers, like to scope out the venue to see what we’ll be working with. The venue was called Antlers on the Creek Bed & Breakfast, and it was just beautiful and definitely set the romantic mood that Hannah and Chance were hoping to capture. Everything from the pond behind the venue to the random patches of forest on the property, everything was just beautiful!
It Was Unique
As with most weddings, we get the privilege of hanging out with the bride and groom before the ceremony and really getting to know them. We often hear stories of how they met and the future that they are planning together. Because this was a quiet elopement, there was no wedding party, so the morning was calm, still and gentle. And with the the simplicity of no guests, we were honored that we were able to be a part their story. There was no looking at the clock every few minutes or wondering if family made in time from the airport. In fact, we remember a distinct time that morning when we were taking pictures of the groom as a light rain was coming down.
It was Special
I can tell you this was one of the most beautiful ceremonies we’ve been able to photograph. Every moment you see during the ceremony was real. Real tears. Real laughter. Real joy.

In my opinion, Colorado is the best place for an elopement. That was Really a great choice by “Chance and Hannah”. The place is also beautiful, the couple can enjoy more quality time with each other in this lovely place. The couple looks so happy and gorgeous, wishing them a very happy married life.
