Over the course of having a photography business we have had the privilege of seeing the Walker family grow! One of the treasure of being in this business is having committed clients that love our work, and continue to use us as their family grow year after year. We met the Walkers a few years back when they got engaged and then upon returning had the opportunity of taking their extended family photos. Long story short, since then they gave […]
So, long story short, Ben has been a friend of mine since grade school. Back in the day we used just talk music; punk rock. MXPX, Slick-Shoes, maybe even some ska like Skankin’ Pickle and Reel Big Fish. Those days are far behind us, except for all the punk rock, haha. Either way, it always blows me away when time really does speed up and you see each other again after many years and now there are wives, kids and […]
I love this family. Love them. Stephen and I have been able to spend time with them in a few different settings over the last couple of years, and the more we get to know them, the more we enjoy them. We’ve discussed the ups and downs of marriage, parenthood, life in general, and through it all, Skylar has become one of my dearest friends. We haven’t even touched on the topic of our mutual love for Christopher Guest movies […]
This is my first go at a session where Brittany let me do the whole thing, so if I’m not as good of a storyteller as her, bummer for you. A few weeks ago, I stepped into a beautiful home. Even more stunning, was this family that was full of laughter, games, life… normal stuff. I like seeing normal people try and live their lives among each other and focus on the right things. The mom of the family looked […]
I loved working with this family. There were so many opportunities for great candid moments. That’s why I love photographing kids! Stephen and I photographed Bree’s wedding a few years back, (you can view it here: http://mirabalphotography.com/2011/09/01/bree-cody/) and it was great to see her again, now with a son! And his red hair is amazing.
A couple of years ago, Stephen and I had the pleasure of taking Julie and Ryan’s engagement photos: http://mirabalphotography.com/2011/11/19/ryan-julie/. A couple of days after Christmas we were asked to take their family photos. Funny story… The day before this session, I tried, and failed to bat my eyelashes at the owner of a local thrift store to get him to drop the price of the cool vintage chair you’ll see in these pictures. Apparently, my charm no longer works. He […]
Last week, baby River and I got home after a week in Nashville with Josh, Deb and my new nephew, Enoch. Deb is my best friend/sister-in-law, and I’m so blessed to have been able to visit and meet baby Enoch, who is about 3 months old and as big as my petite 8 month old. I just want to gobble him up. He is absolutely adorable. We decided to take their family photos at the Opryland hotel, and our mission was […]
