We love being Durango engagement photographers. Meet Tatjana and McLean. We met them a couple of weeks ago at their gorgeous home early in the morning. I was incredibly nervous. Often times, before sessions, I dream that my camera doesn’t work, or that I forgot my battery and have to use my phone, or that the clients are mad at me.These are the things that filled my dreams the night before, and I’m an anxious person, so it was difficult […]
Stephen and I photographed Colin and Staci’s engagement session back in April. We had the privilege of capturing their wedding last month as well, and that blog is coming soon! Upon meeting these two at the time of their session, I whispered to Stephen, “They are adorable…” Staci is gorgeous and so sweet, and Colin is this kind, gentle guy who has this crazy-cool professor beard. They have been amazing to work with!
A couple of years ago, Stephen and I had the pleasure of taking Julie and Ryan’s engagement photos: http://mirabalphotography.com/2011/11/19/ryan-julie/. A couple of days after Christmas we were asked to take their family photos. Funny story… The day before this session, I tried, and failed to bat my eyelashes at the owner of a local thrift store to get him to drop the price of the cool vintage chair you’ll see in these pictures. Apparently, my charm no longer works. He […]
Stephen and Jonathon Sifford have been friends for years. They played basketball together when they were 14 & 16, and they have been great friends ever since. I met Sifford when Stephen and I first started dating, over 9 years ago, and have considered him a very dear friend of our family ever since. Stephen and I have been eagerly waiting for Sifford to find the perfect lady for him and marry her. And he did. A few days ago, […]
Mariah is a lovely 16 year old. She is about to graduate and head to school to become an OB/GYN. She wants to specialize in maternal fetal medicine. She is also a dancer, and I wanted to capture some of what she does. If you haven’t seen the first part of Mariah’s senior photos, you can view them here.
The original plan was to take Mariah’s senior photos at the lake. The sky was beautifully overcast all day. It was warm, a bit breezy. About an hour before we were supposed to meet, we heard thunder. It stopped. So we decided to stick with our original plan. But then the New Mexico desert winds went nuts. The sky turned dirt brown. We met up anyway and headed to the lake, but as we sat in my car wondering what […]
We met Higinio while Stephen was leading worship for youth at a church here in town. He is an awesome guy and we had a great time taking his senior photos.
Bonnie Sue is one of my best friends. We share a love for rain, ‘What Not To Wear,’ Conan O’Brien and photography.
I’ve known Seth since he was a baby. I couldn’t believe I was taking his senior portraits! I love his awesome family. They are doing amazing things in our community. Proclaiming Truth and literally saving innocent lives and encouraging women. I was honored when I was asked to take his photos.
